Don't give them the wrong Impression - Branding Post 3

Know - Like - Trust

Cultivate the Know – Like – Trust mentality. Your ideal clients want to get to know you. If they are going to invest in you or your business, they want to like you and trust you. You want to visually be able to show them who you are, what you stand for and what you are all about.

What personal things about you, aside from you as a business owner, would you like your clients to know and see. Remember it is important for your clients to get to know YOU. They are more likely to book with you when they know you better and can begin to feel the trust that you will take care of them.

Do those cell phone photos communicate the image you are trying to convey? Do they say “Quality”? Do they motivate? Do they inspire? Your personal brand is a promise to your clients. A promise of quality, consistency, competency, and reliability. You want to be planful and thoughtful about your photos that accompany your posts.

Remember that business and career paths evolve over time. Those photos you were using last year may not represent who you are today. This is why I recommend at least an annual head shot session to accurately reflect your current look. (see head shot blog post for more information)

Amy Jo Martin said – “Social media is changing the way we communicate and the way we are perceived, both positively and negatively. Every time you post a photo or update your status, you are contributing to your personal brand”. Let’s make yours sing!
